Frequently asked questions
Common questions about using ToolzWorx
ToolzWorx tools are free, visual, and run in your browser. If you are new here, these answers cover how the site works, what we store, and how to get in touch.
What is ToolzWorx?
ToolzWorx is a collection of free browser tools for planning rooms, checking colours, and testing ideas visually. Each tool focuses on a practical problem where a diagram or live preview is easier to understand than numbers alone.
Are the tools free to use?
Yes. Every live tool on ToolzWorx is free to use in your browser. Ads help keep the site free so we can keep adding and improving tools without charging for access.
Do I need an account?
No. Open a tool, adjust the controls, and use the results straight away. We do not ask you to sign up to use the planners, colour tools, or calculators.
Is my data uploaded to your servers?
Most tools run entirely in your browser. Room layouts, colour picks, and uploaded images stay on your device unless a specific tool page says otherwise. If you submit the suggestions form, only the fields you enter there are sent to us.
Which browsers are supported?
ToolzWorx works best in recent versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari. Some 3D tools need WebGL. If something looks wrong, try a hard refresh or update your browser.
Can I use ToolzWorx on my phone or tablet?
Many tools work on phones and tablets, especially colour and calculator tools. Room planners with drag-and-drop or 3D views are easier on a larger screen, but the layout still adapts for smaller devices where possible.
How accurate are the results?
Tools use common guidelines and sensible defaults for planning and design. They help you compare options and sketch layouts before buying furniture, mounting a TV, or picking colours. Always double-check critical measurements on site.
Can I save or share my work?
There is no account storage yet. Take a screenshot, copy exported CSS or hex codes, or note dimensions from the tool if you need a record. Anything you keep stays on your device unless you choose to share it.
How do I suggest a new tool or feature?
Open the Suggestions page from the top bar and tell us what would help. We read every message and use that feedback when deciding what to build next.
What are ToolzWorx Guides?
Guides are longer planning and design articles on topics like TV sizing, furniture layouts, projector throw, accessible colour systems, and brand palettes from photos. Open Guides from the top bar or footer. Each guide links to the related free tools.
What is the ToolzWorx blog?
The Blogs section publishes weekly gadget reviews: practical takes on devices related to planning, design, and everyday tech. Open Blogs from the top bar to read the latest post or suggest a gadget to cover.
Why do I see advertisements?
Ads help keep ToolzWorx free. We use Google AdSense with consent controls so you can accept or limit non-essential cookies. See the Privacy Policy for details on cookies and advertising partners.
