About Speaker Placement Visualizer

What this tool does

The Speaker Placement Visualizer maps stereo speaker positions and a listening seat on a room diagram. It helps you sketch equilateral or recommended angles before drilling holes or buying stands.

Use it for hi-fi setups, desktop listening corners, and small home theatres where speaker toe-in and distance from walls matter.

How to use it

  1. 1Enter room dimensions or use the default plan size.
  2. 2Drag the left and right speakers to your planned stand or wall positions.
  3. 3Move the listening position (sofa or desk chair) to your main seat.
  4. 4Check suggested angles or distances shown in the interface.
  5. 5Adjust until the triangle between speakers and your head looks balanced for your room.

Frequently asked questions

What is the ideal speaker angle?
Many guides suggest speakers angled toward the listener at roughly 45°–60° from the centre line, forming an equilateral triangle with the seat. Room acoustics and speaker type still matter.
Should speakers go against the wall?
Near-wall placement boosts bass but can muddy midrange. The visualizer helps you see clearance; follow your speaker manual for minimum distance from walls.
Does this support surround sound?
This tool focuses on stereo placement. For 5.1 or Atmos layouts, use it to lock front left/right and centre listening first, then plan surrounds separately.
